Pretty funny - as was really common for TV performances at the time, they were clearly lip syncing. At about 1:10 the drummer dropped his sticks and got up from the drum set to pick them up. Of course the drum track never skipped a beat.

Yep. Top of the Pops were hanging onto 60s style mime performances longer than just about anyone else out there. The really strange thing is that the Top of the Pops performance/etc. have not been hassled by the copyright fiends too much at present, but apparently the official music video (!) is only up right now in substandard formats. Despite there being a Vapors VEVO, I believe.

This is one of those songs that I violently hate. I always have.  It’s awful.  Whenever it comes on the radio, I involuntarily shout “Oh, FUCK YOU!” and change the station. The only other song that comes close to that level of hatred for me is “What’s Up?” by 4-Non Blondes.
